Participants for the Quiz are drawn from among middle grade students of secondary schools.

The 2008 staging of the Quiz is sponsored in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and has been organized in four stages - the preliminary rounds at the national level; the zonal rounds; the semi finals and the regional finals.

The winners of the 2008 staging will be presented at the Conference of Heads of Government on 1st July.
