(CARICOM Secretariat, Turkeyen, Greater Georgetown,

organizations represented on the Board of the
Interim Haiti Reconstruction Commission that will
oversee the money pledged for Haiti’s
reconstruction.
The IHRC, which has an 18-month mandate, will be
co-chaired by the Hon Jean-Max Bellerive, Prime
Minister of Haiti and Mr. Bill Clinton, former US
President and current United Nations envoy to Haiti.
The private sector, civil society and major

In an address to the Donors Meeting in New York
on Wednesday, the Most Honourable P.J. Patterson,
former Jamaica Prime Minster who is the special

Haiti said a sense of urgency must be maintained and
stressed that the IHRC must initiate its work

State, we would have advanced the cause of humanity
everywhere,” Mr. Patterson said.
